"How do you pronounce your last name?"

I get this question a lot. Let me break it down for you:

 (kah-luge*-ner)

(kah-l
üze-ner)

*luge, you know, like the Olympic sport

What I'm Passionate About

Nature ~ Yoga ~ Love ~ Community ~ Spirituality ~ Music

Hi, I'm Adam. I speak from experience and try to lead by example. I'm not perfect, nor do I expect you to be. I know what it's like to be the client (in individual or couples therapy). I genuinely believe in and engage with the ideas and activities regarding growth and health that I advocate to my clients.

I invest in my local community--playing music with neighbors, using and encouraging neighbors to use Fernhill Park, our neighborhood park. When I'm not working you'll find me doing silly impressions, riding my bike, playing basketball, hiking in the Wissachickon Valley Park, AKA "The Wissahickon," or spending time with family.

There is so much potential in our communities.  Thanks to our modern technologies, there are so many ways to connect with people and things that are far from us. The most immersive, meaningful -- and frankly, the simplest -- experiences come with connections to ourselves, to nature, and to our local neighbors.
I believe in strengthening local communities and reinvigorating their autonomy and sustainability through grassroots movements. I believe it is a basic human right to have access to clean water and fresh, nutritious food. I'm proud to be part of an organization that helps play a crucial role in shaping that reality.  As a working member, I volunteer to support my local food co-op, Weaver's Way. Founded in 1973, the co-op is driven to provide access to healthy, local, and fresh foods. It is steadily growing, with 4 locations and serving over 15,000 member households across Northwest Philadelphia and Ambler.

I support my neighborhood community by volunteering at the Food Forest at Fernhill Park. Weaver's Way sponsors our monthly events in the park which often include live music provided my neighbors. I serve as a director and musician/singer for the Fernhill Family Band. The band is a multi-generational and diverse group of neighborhood musicians and singers who perform free, family-friendly shows regularly for and with the local community. Enjoy a medley from one of our 2025 summer shows below.
